This dark corner of the web chronicles my digital adventures. This photoblog was started in early 2006 as motivation to get out and about with a camera and, in doing so, learn how to create better photographs. The site is updated with new images a few times a week. I am based in the south west of Ireland where most of the image are taken, but images from other parts of the country (and world) do make an appearence from time to time. There is no recurring theme on this blog - images posted are a mixed bag, from snaps of subjects that catch my eye to fully thought out and executed conceptual images. In late 2008 the blog was moved from latchiko.com to kevoto.com.

Originals

All images posted here have been post-processed to varying degrees in order to better present my vision of the scene when captured. To illustrate the post-production process I have included the original file from the camera for all shots posted. To see the original, simply roll your mouse over the "original" link above most images.

Equipment

All new images are photographer using a Canon 5D MkII and either a 50mm f1.4, 17-40mm f4, 24-70mm f2.8 or 70-200mm f2.8 lens. All images posted before the 15th January 2009 were photographed using a Canon 400D and (most likely) a 17-85mm 4.5/5.6 IS lens. All images posted before the 10th of March 2007 were taken with a Canon PowerShot S2 IS.
