Matrisha

Matrisha
30 January 2008

This is the wreck of the Matrisha, a derelict container ship which is docked close to Kildysart, Co. Clare. It was taken as the sun set over the Shannon, which bathed the front of the ship in a warm light, highlighting the neglect and decay. Processing: As usual, you can roll your mouse over the "original" link above the shot to alternate between the processed and unprocessed image. This is a stitch of two shots, purely because I don't have a lens wider than 17mm and could not fit the entire ship in the frame. Both of the stitched shots were a combination of three exposures, from which I generated a HDR. Once stitched, I applied the usual levels/curves adjustments and also dodged and burned a little towards the front of the wreck.
