Forgotten
18 January 2008

I'm not sure how well this one works. Personally, I thought it was a little surreal. I found myself wondering where the stick came from and why it was left there. Almost as if an elderly man had made his way slowly across the park to the bench with his newspaper, carefully laid his stick up against the edge, before suddenly remembering he had left his glasses in the car... Processing: Trying to disguise the strong harsh light was my main concern with this image. I managed to pull some of the highlights back from the RAW file and burned it further to lessen the distraction of the bright grass in the background. I then desaturated the greens as I thought they were a little overwhelming. As usual, you can roll your mouse over the "original" link above the image to swap to the unprocessed shot.
