Snowy Craggaunowen |
| 10 January 2010 |
The snow covered crannog at Craggaunowen today. A crannog is an artificial island on which people built houses, kept animals and lived in relative security (as you can see by the fence surrounding the island). This is a reconstruction of the site which was inhabited during the Late Bronze Age. Earlier in the day (inspired by John's photo) I tested the waters at the lake in Dromoland: |
