Bled Island |

Lake Bled is a glacial lake in Slovenia and in it sits Bled Island, the only natural island in the country. There are a few buildings on the island but the most notable is the Pilgrimage Church of the Assumption of Mary which is a popular church for weddings. After dragging myself out of bed at early o'clock and cycling the 30 minutes to get to this location I discovered that the camera battery was dead. Luckily, I had a spare battery but unluckily that was also dead. I put the batteries in my pockets to heat up and, alternating between the batteries, managed to take a handful of photos. |
