are the original & modified versions backwards? i think i prefer the original of
these two.
sorry that my only comment in ages is slightly critical - i do really enjoy checking out your photos every day - and the 'original'
feature is brilliant. i wish more people (including myself?) would do this. caitriona @ 19 June 2008
Thanks for the comments!
@Pearl: Apparently lack of vocations and the age factor were
the main issues. You can read more about it here.
@Caitriona: They
aren't backwards! :) I processed the RAW file as a HDR to recover some of the detail around the altar and also add more detail to the foreground.
As well as that I wanted to highlight the lone parishioner sitting on the right as well as add a little movement to the congregation at the front
(which is hardly visible at this resolution). I liked the warmer tones as well.
Whether this was a success, or even a good idea to start with, is
open to debate. I appreciate the comment - trust me you're not the first person to prefer an original over a processed image!! :) Kevoto @ 20 June 2008
Beautiful available light photo. Great ! cako @ 29 June 2008
This is great. Not to be sadistic but if you move the cursor over the orginal key really fast it looks like an earthquake..! Andrew @ 5 May 2009
